Generis Underwriting trades solely through insurance brokers, so those partnerships are chosen with great care and no compromise to our core values.
In our experience the independence of brokers adds a vital factor to their offering to clients – they are typically closer to their clients and care more. That echoes our approach and why we only deal with independent brokers.
Each of our broker partners are selected because of their expertise and experience in their chosen field. Sometimes in niche areas, sometimes a broader experience in SME or Corporate insurance. In all partners we look at their approach to clients and their track record of demonstrating quality of advice and broking skill.
Insurers
Behind every Managing General Agent (MGA) is one or more insurers providing the capacity (or paper) for the MGA to underwrite.
It has been vitally important to us that we partner with insurers that understand our philosophy but also that we have been able to build a strong relationship with. That creates an environment for creativity, flexibility and support in a long-term trading relationship.
Partnership also needs to extend to how individual clients are risk managed and what flexibility exists in the provision of terms and conditions to build what a client needs.
An insurer’s claim service is of the utmost importance to us. When a client buys an ‘intangible’ insurance product they are effectively buying a promise to support the client when they need it.
